A 12-year-old single malt from Aberfeldy, released in the Old Particular range as part of Douglas Laing's Midnight Series. It was distilled in October 2010 and matured in a single refill butt until 2023, yielding 309 bottles at 56% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose opens with vanilla sponge and toasted oak, with delicate sweet spice behind. On the palate come summer fruits, dark chocolate, fruit loaf and candied oranges, with polished oak deeper in. The finish is dark and sweet, with fruit cake, baking spice, cherry chocolate, coffee and marmalade.
