Aberlour Forrest Reserve is a 10 year old Speyside single malt matured in oak casks, among them French Limousin oak. The wood adds depth and a subtly spicy undertone.
The nose is red apples, cinnamon, caramel and a hint of oak. The palate is full and fruity, with honey, spices and toasted oak. The finish is medium in length, warm and spicy, with a light sweetness.
