Aberlour 10 Years Old Forest Reserve is a single malt matured for at least ten years in bourbon and sherry casks. This edition then received an additional maturation and finish in French Limousin oak casks. It is bottled at 40%.
The colour is old gold with copper highlights. The nose is rich and fresh, with pear and apple, vanilla and menthol caramel, alongside damp wood and sherry. The palate is soft and creamy, with a bittersweet touch of nutmeg and honey, autumn fruit, mint and spice. The finish is long, clean, soft and aromatic.
