This Aberlour is an 11-year-old Speyside single malt from Murray McDavid's Benchmark series, part of the Spring Release 2026. It was distilled in 2014 and bottled at 57.2% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour.
The whisky first matured in a refill sherry butt, then was finished in three fresh PX sherry barriques from Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola. From these casks, 901 bottles were filled in spring 2026.
The nose shows ripe fruit, orange peel and creamy malt. The palate brings honey, soft toffee and a hint of berries. The finish stays fruity, with mocha and mild oak.
