This is an 11-year-old Speyside single malt from Aberlour, bottled at 55% in a 70cl bottle for the Uncharted Whisky Company, founded by Jack Tonkin and Dana de Vries. It was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2024, and is of natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
It matured in a Jerez sherry barrique from Spinola, a house that specialises in Pedro Ximénez wines.
The nose is dried fruit, raisins and gentle spice with the soft, fruity Aberlour character. The palate shows dark sugar, ripe fruit and subtle oak. The finish is long, moving from tropical fruit sweetness to butterscotch and warming wood spices.
