Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in both traditional oak and seasoned sherry butts, and the two are combined for a balanced flavour. The double cask maturation softens the crisp, citrus character of Aberlour's new distillate.
The nose is soft and rounded, with red apple. The palate has a sherried character, with fruit balanced by rich chocolate. The finish is warm and lingering, sweet and spicy.
