Aberlour 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured in a mix of bourbon barrels and sherry casks.
The nose is soft and crisp, with citrus and plenty of fruit, including red apples. The palate shows the sherry influence, with dark chocolate, dried apricot and Christmas cake. The finish is warm and lingering, sweet and spicy.
