Aberlour 12 Years Old Double Cask is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle. Aberlour dates from 1879, and its spring, St Drostan's Well, is pictured on the label and still supplies water for the whisky.
The double cask name refers to the two stages of maturation: first ordinary oak casks, then sherry casks, picked each year by the distillery's master distiller. This time in wood is said to give the whisky its deep character and its refined fruit and spice aromas.
