This is a 13 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Aberlour, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
It is double cask matured, in American oak and Oloroso sherry casks. The American oak adds vanilla and toffee, while the Oloroso brings spice and richness. The colour is deep gold.
The nose is sweet and fruity, with green apple, dried cherry, clove, nutmeg and golden syrup. The palate is soft, creamy and malty, with vanilla cream, baked apple, milk chocolate and desiccated coconut. The finish is fairly short, leaving wood spices and a peppery heat.
