Aberlour 14 Year Old Double Cask Batch No.8 is a limited release Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV and non-chill filtered.
It is matured for 14 years in two types of cask: first-fill American oak, which gives vanilla and honey, and Oloroso sherry casks, which add depth, fruit and spice.
The nose offers honeyed malt, ripe red apples and sultanas with a lift of cinnamon. The palate is velvety and full bodied, with butterscotch, orange zest, dried fruit and warm oak. The finish is long and warming, with lingering sweet spice and gentle sherry richness.
