This is a 14 year old single malt from Aberlour, matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry casks and American oak casks. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle and has a deep amber colour.
The nose brings ripe cherries, citrus and marzipan, with blackcurrant developing into treacly butterscotch and lightly spiced oak. The palate is round and smooth, with soft caramel, gentle spice, blackberry jam and butterscotch.
The finish is long and sweet, with vanilla and custard tart fading into sherried oak.
