Aberlour – 16 Year Old 2025 Presentation (70cl, 40%)

Aberlour 16 Year Old is a Speyside single malt bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, here in the presentation introduced in 2025. It is matured in American oak and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. The two are aged separately and married before bottling, with the Oloroso casks having the stronger influence. That brings dark fruit and raisins, rounded out by vanilla, toffee, nuts and soft oak. The nose combines apple, lemon, toffee and vanilla with bitter orange and raisins, plus floral notes and spiced nuts. On the palate come ripe plum, raisins and caramel, soft and full. The finish is long, warm and fruity, with cinnamon and nutmeg.
