Aberlour 16 Year Old is a single malt matured in two kinds of cask: ex-bourbon casks and ex-sherry butts. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, and has a rich golden amber colour.
The nose is dry and floral, with sweet raisin and spicy nuttiness. The palate is smooth, full, sweet and spicy, with soft plum fruit and gentle oak.
The finish is long and warm, with spicy fruitiness.
