Aberlour 16 Years Double Cask is a Speyside single malt aged 16 years and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Its character comes from double cask maturation, in which the whisky matures separately in sherry and bourbon casks.
The nose is rich and floral, with sweet raisin and a spicy nuttiness. The palate is smooth and full, with sweet, floral and spicy flavours, plum and gentle oak. The finish is long, warm and spicy-fruity.
