This is Aberlour 18 Year Old Double Sherry Cask Finish, a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. It is the first release, Batch 001.
The distillery marries old whiskies from American and European casks, then gives the blend a last period of maturation in two kinds of first-fill sherry cask, Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso.
The finish is described as bringing sweetness, roundness and complexity, with notes of apricot, raisins and nutmeg.
