This is an 18 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Aberlour, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
It is finished in two kinds of sherry butt, made from Spanish oak: oloroso and Pedro Ximénez. The finish gives the whisky its richness and intensity, and its auburn gold colour.
The nose is rich with ripe fruit, orange zest, toffee buns and plum jam. On the palate it is fruity, with apricot, chocolate-coated raisins, liquorice root and freshly grated nutmeg. The finish is long and complex, with lasting sweetness.
