This Aberlour is a 16 year old single malt, distilled on 11 December 2008 and bottled on 11 March 2025 after maturing in a hogshead, number 801193. It was selected by Archives for The Fishes of Samoa collection, with 200 bottles filled at 55.5%.
The nose is fruity and rich, with crumble-style peach, honeyed mango, ripe pineapple and a touch of walnut praline, plus light hints of aniseed and sage. The palate opens lively and almost sparkling, with apple cider, cinnamon sugar, crème caramel and toasted marshmallow. The finish is long and malty, with a lingering sweetness.
