Aberlour – A'bunadh Alba Batch 009 (70cl, 59.3%)

Aberlour A'bunadh Alba Batch 009 is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at a cask strength of 59.3%. It matured entirely in first-fill ex-bourbon casks of American white oak, a change from the sherry-cask character of the classic A'bunadh. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose combines sweet apples and pears with honey and vanilla, with icing sugar, fresh citrus and light spice. On the palate, citrus and baked apple lead, followed by ripe pear, almonds, caramel and toffee on a creamy texture, with coconut and malt. The finish keeps citrus, gentle oak spice and creamy sweetness.
