Aberlour A'Bunadh Alba is a Speyside single malt bottled at a cask strength of 63%, in a 70cl bottle. It is matured only in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, and is non-chill-filtered and naturally coloured. The name refers to Quercus alba, the white oak species.
The nose has ripe red apples, honey, vanilla and a hint of cinnamon. The palate brings citrus, baked apples and a touch of almonds in a creamy mouthfeel. The finish is sweet and lingering, with toasted almonds and soft spice.
