Aberlour – A'Bunadh (70cl, 61%)

Aberlour A'Bunadh is a Speyside single malt bottled at cask strength, here at 61% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry butts and bottled with natural colour and without chill filtration. The name is Scots Gaelic for "the original", and the whisky is a tribute to Aberlour's founder, James Fleming. It is bottled in batches, each handmade, with strength typically falling between 59% and 61%. The nose is deep and spicy, with praline, spiced orange, golden raisins and walnut. On the palate come black cherries, ginger and dark chocolate, with bittersweet marmalade. The finish is long and warming, with oak, orange and cinnamon.
