A 12 year old Speyside single malt from Aberlour, bottled by the distillery at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered.
The nose combines toasted grain with redcurrant, strawberry, honey, toffee and vanilla. On the palate there is dark chocolate, sweet plums, raisins and a pleasant oak spice, moving to nuts, caramel, a pinch of cinnamon and a little ginger. The finish is long, sweet and spicy, with bittersweet orange marmalade and sugared coffee.
