Aberlour Double Cask Matured 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt aged for twelve years in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks.
The nose recalls Christmas pudding, with figs, sultanas, orange, honey and cream. On the palate it is smooth, with sweet, spicy sherry, orchard fruits and caramel.
The finish is lingering, with raisins and plain chocolate, and Jaffa orange notes running to the end.
