Aberlour Double Sherry Cask is an 18 year old Speyside single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle as Batch 001. It is deeper in colour than the standard Aberlour 18.
The whisky is first matured in American and European oak, then racked into Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks for a final finishing. The long maturation adds body and builds a fruitiness that develops towards a richly raisined character, with fruity nuances running through the balance of the whole.
