Aberlour V.O.H.M. is a 10 year old Speyside single malt from the 1980s, in a 1 litre bottle. The name stands for Very Old Speyside Malt, a playful echo of the VSOP label found on Cognac.
It has a deep gold colour. The nose is full of sherry, with caramel, raisins and coffee.
The palate is bold and chocolaty, with black pepper, cocoa, vanilla cream and hints of rum and coffee liqueur, plus a touch of salt and smoke. The finish is rather long, creamy and heathery.
