A single cask Aberlour from the Warehouse No.1 series, distilled on 15 November 1989 and bottled in October 2003 at 13 years old. It was matured in a first-fill sherry cask and bottled at cask strength.
The nose is layered, with mint, marzipan and dark coffee alongside plum, cherry and dried fig, then hay, oak and nutmeg. The palate opens with a bitter edge and cherry, pomelo and toffee, followed by cinnamon, clove, ginger and bay leaf over dark chocolate. The finish is long and warming, with orange peel, cinnamon and tobacco.
