This is a 10-year-old Clynelish bottled by Adelphi from a single cask, number 51253, a first fill bourbon barrel. It was distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2026 at 54.9%, and the cask yielded 232 bottles.
The first fill bourbon adds a sweet, pastry-like richness to the waxy, lemony character of the distillery.
The nose brings custard-cream biscuits, mandarin peel and lemon curd, with fresh linen and wet hay. On the palate it turns sweet, with white chocolate, almond cake and honeycomb. The finish is elegant and full of nuance.
