Clynelish 14 Year Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 46% ABV. It is matured mainly in ex-bourbon casks and is not chill-filtered.
Clynelish succeeded the Brora distillery, which stands just across the road, and this malt is known for its waxy texture and a light coastal influence.
The nose is led by mandarin, tangerine and lemon peel, with beeswax, honey, green apple and a touch of brine. The palate is creamy and crisp, with orange marmalade, vanilla and mixed dried fruit. The finish is long and dry, with spicy oak, pepper and lingering citrus peel.
