Aerstone Land Cask is a 10 year old single malt Scotch, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. Highland peat is used in the maltings, and the whisky matures in a warehouse set further inland, which leads to a richer, more intense spirit with a smoky finish.
On the nose there is peat smoke and vanilla, black pepper, smoked meat and a touch of fresh, fruity sweetness. The palate balances sweet and smoky notes, with aniseed, burnt brown sugar and charred oak. The finish is sweet and smoky.
