Aglianico del Vulture DOC - Re Manfredi

Aglianico del Vulture DOC is a red wine from Basilicata, made by Re Manfredi from Aglianico grown on the volcanic slopes of Monte Vulture. It has a deep ruby colour. The nose shows ripe red fruits such as cherries and blackberries, with spices, chocolate, earth and mineral notes. On the palate it has a notable structure, robust but elegant tannins and fresh acidity. Mature fruit, tobacco, chocolate and spices lead to a long, persistent finish. It suits roasted meats, game, mushroom dishes and aged cheeses.
