Aglianico del Vulture DOC Taglio Del Tralcio

A red wine from Re Manfredi, made from Aglianico grown on the volcanic soils of Vulture in Basilicata. It shows a dark, intense red colour with violet reflections. The nose offers mature black fruits such as blackberry and currant, with spice, liquorice and a light vanilla and wood note from barrel ageing. On the palate it is rich and structured, with robust but harmonious tannins and fresh acidity, with black fruit, chocolate, coffee and spice. It suits roast meats, game, aged cheeses and mushroom dishes.
