Akashi is a Japanese blended whisky from White Oak Distillery. Its blend contains 30% malted barley, and it shows pronounced American oak and vanilla aromas. In the glass it is golden yellow. The nose is light and delicate, with cereal, honey and yellow fruit. The palate is soft, intense and gently spicy, bringing vanilla, almond, chamomile, sherry and dark chocolate. The finish is long, dry, spicy and tannic.
