Akashi Blended is a Japanese blended whisky from Eigashima Shuzo, made at the White Oak distillery in Akashi, Hyogo, and bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It combines lightly peated malt whisky with grain whisky, vatted from ex-bourbon, barley shochu, sherry and new oak casks.
The nose brings lemon, cherry pit, toffee and a maritime note. The palate shows vanilla and pine nuts, and the finish is long and wheat-forward with peat underneath.
