Akashi is a Japanese single malt whisky from White Oak Distillery, in a 50cl bottle.
It is matured in American oak, and vanilla notes sit alongside the character the wood gives. The colour is amber with bright glints.
The nose is malty and floral, with chamomile and sherry. The palate is long and soft, fine and round, light yet full of taste, with creamy hints and vanilla. The finish has good persistence.
