Akashi Single Malt is a Japanese whisky from the White Oak Distillery in the city of Akashi, which was founded in 1888. It is a vatted whisky without an age statement, in a 50cl bottle. It is made from single malts matured for 7, 5 and 4 years in a variety of casks. The nose is soft, with apples, icing sugar and fruit. The palate is sweet, dry and velvety, with nutty notes followed by floral ones that become more lasting when water is added. The finish is soft and well balanced.
