Akashi Sherry Cask Finish

Akashi Sherry Cask Finish is a Japanese whisky from the Kaikyō Distillery in Akashi, on the Seto Inland Sea in the Hyogo region. It is finished in sherry casks, one of several cask types held at the distillery. Those casks include American oak, Japanese mizunara and sakura cherry wood, previously used for bourbon, sherry and port. Kaikyō was founded in 2017 by Kimio Yonezawa to mark a hundred years of his family's business in distilled drinks, which began with the Akashi Sake Brewery in 1917.
