Akkeshi – New Born Foundation 4 (20cl, 48%)

Akkeshi New Born Foundation 4 is a release in the New Born Foundation series from the Akkeshi Distillery on the island of Hokkaido, Japan. It is bottled at 48% in a 200ml bottle. It combines malt and grain whisky, including whisky made from Hokkaido barley malt known as Ryofu, and was matured in sherry butts. The flavours run through oranges, salted caramel, subtle banana and a maple syrup sweetness, alongside dark chocolate, white pepper and gentle hints of raisin.
