Akkeshi New Born Foundations 4

Akkeshi New Born Foundations 4 is a blend of malt and grain whisky from Akkeshi Distillery on Hokkaido, Japan, where production began in 2016. The whisky was matured for 13 to 30 months in sherry and other specially prepared casks. Malt makes up more than 60% of the blend. More than half of that malt was matured in sherry casks, and it was made with 5% Ryofu malting barley grown in Hokkaido. The grain whisky comes from a new type of Scottish grain spirit that was filled into cask at Akkeshi and matured there.
