Akkeshi – Usui Blended Whisky 2nd Solar Term 2021 (70cl)

Akkeshi Usui is a blended Japanese whisky, the 2nd Solar Term, bottled in 2021 and sold in a 70cl bottle. Akkeshi distillery was founded in 2016 by the Tokyo trading company Kenten Jitsugyo. It stands on Hokkaido, in an area known for its milk and cheese, and covers just 2,960 square feet. The coastal setting is similar to Islay, and like Islay distilleries, Akkeshi is noted for its use of peat. It has two stills and six washbacks, and matures its whisky in a wide variety of cask styles.
