Alessio Dry Vermouth is an Italian dry vermouth made by Tempus Fugit Spirits in Piedmont, at 17% ABV. Its recipe draws on the dry vermouths of 19th-century Marseille.
The base is aged Italian white wine blended with a little oxidised wine, aromatised with Piedmontese herbs, botanicals and spices. The emphasis falls on herbal structure and savoury salinity rather than sweetness, which suits it to a Martini or a Fifty-Fifty.
The nose is fresh, with chamomile, citrus peel, alpine herbs and delicate spice. The palate is crisp, with green apple, dried herbs, citrus zest and gentle bitterness. The finish is clean, with herbal dryness and citrus oils.
