A Japanese malt whisky from the Nagahama distillery, finished in Mizunara wood and bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle. It is Edition No.3 of the Amahagan World Malt series, which blends Nagahama whiskies with single malts from around the world.
Nagahama was founded in 2016 and uses small, unusually shaped stills nicknamed aranbics. Amahagan is an anagram of Nagahama.
The nose has orchard fruits, juicy oranges, sweet caramel and fragrant oak. The palate brings Terry's Chocolate Orange, dark chocolate and citrus.
