A Japanese blended malt that combines Japanese and foreign whiskies, made by Nagahama, one of the smallest and youngest distilleries in Japan. The Amahagan name is simply Nagahama spelled backwards.
Edition No. 1 is the first of three world blended whiskies from the distillery. It was matured mainly in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 47% ABV, non-chill-filtered and with no colour added.
The nose brings orchard and tropical fruit with a little lemon and toasted oak. On the palate there is lemon tart, sweet pastry and marmalade with Christmas spices, and the finish stays with lemon, charred oak and spice.
