A Sicilian red wine from Barone Montalto, made from a blend of Nero d'Avola, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
It is deep ruby red with garnet hints. The nose offers ripe red fruit, cherry and plum, followed by vanilla, black pepper, cocoa and tobacco. On the palate it has balanced tannins, freshness and long persistence, with mature fruit, spice and a hint of oak.
It suits red meat, roasts and aged cheeses.
