Barone Montalto Nerello Mascalese Terre Siciliane IGT

A red wine from Barone Montalto, made from Nerello Mascalese grapes grown in the Terre Siciliane area, where volcanic soils and a Mediterranean climate suit native varieties. It shows an intense ruby red colour. The nose offers red berry fruits, ripe cherries and a delicate hint of spice and tobacco from wood ageing. On the palate it is elegant and well structured, with soft, silky tannins and lively acidity. The finish is long and persistent. It pairs well with red meat, roasts, aged cheeses and Mediterranean cooking.
