Amontillado 1951 Decadent Grapes

An Amontillado from Montilla, from the 1951 vintage, released under the Decadent Grapes name. It is not a solera wine: it was never topped up, blended or moved through a system. The wine matured undisturbed for more than seven decades in a single American oak cask, slowly concentrating. That long, quiet ageing gives a deeper, more focused profile, with a sharper salty note, a more pronounced structure and a more direct sense of place.
