A 17-year-old Islay single malt from an undisclosed distillery, chosen by Duncan Taylor for The Octave range. It was distilled in 2008, drawn from oak cask 11898 and bottled in 2026 at 54.6% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose is malty and sweet, with caramel and toffee, dark dried fruit and a little citrus. On the palate the body is full, with dark chocolate and spicy oak meeting the Islay smoke. The finish is long, with a hint of aniseed.
