This is a 22 year old Highland single malt from Knockdhu distillery, which bottles under the AnCnoc name. It is bottled at 46% without colouring or chill-filtration.
It was matured in a mix of American ex-bourbon casks and Spanish ex-oloroso butts. It is worth giving at least ten minutes in the glass to open up.
The character is lightly smoky, fruity and silky, with a long finish in which a little leather appears.
