Angel's Envy Caribbean Rum Cask Finish is a rye whiskey finished for up to 18 months in Caribbean rum casks. It comes in a 75cl bottle at 100 proof.
The team sampled more than 100 rums before settling on the one to pair with the rye. The aim was to set the spicy, earthy character of the rye against the mellow sweetness of the rum.
The nose offers citrus, caramel candy, maple sugar, vanilla and hazelnut. On the palate come sweet rum, sherry wood and soft oak, and the finish is both sweet and dry, quick and easy.
