Angel's Envy Cask Strength is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 61.3% ABV. It is the distillery's first age-stated expression, aged for a cumulative 10 years in new American white oak and port wine barrels.
The 10/10 emblem on the cork recalls October 2010, when founder Lincoln Henderson held back the planned debut because he felt the liquid was not ready.
The nose offers cinnamon toast, fruit nougat and candied nuts. On the palate come baklava, ripe apricot, crème brulee and cognac, with a touch of grains of paradise. The finish shows rum raisin cake as the port cask influence builds.
