Angel's Envy Triple Oak is a Kentucky straight bourbon at 46% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. Master Distiller Owen Martin created it as a traditional bourbon with a modern twist, and it is the first new addition to the Signature Series in over ten years. The mash bill is 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley.
It starts with the distillery's five year old bourbon aged in American white oak, then finishes in second-fill French oak and first-fill Hungarian and chinkapin oak barrels.
The nose shows ripe apricot, toasted oak and honeysuckle blossom. The palate has baking spices, brioche, vanilla custard, red plum, tobacco and leather, and the finish lingers with nutmeg, black pepper, cardamom, brown sugar and molasses.
Tasting Notes
Fresh ripe apricot, rich toasted oak, honeysuckle blossom
Bold baking spices, hints of brioche and vanilla custard, red plum, fresh tobacco and leather tannins
Pleasant spice, nutmeg, black pepper and cardamom, with brown sugar and molasses sweetness
