This Annandale is a single cask bottling from the Man O' Words series, which pays tribute to Robert Burns. It is Founders' Selection Bourbon Cask #486, bottled at a cask strength of 58.5% in a 70cl bottle, without dilution or chill filtration. Annandale is a Lowland distillery dating from 1836, revived in 2014 by David and Teresa Thomson. This whisky matured in a first-fill ex-bourbon oak cask from 2015. The nose is typically described as vanilla and honey with green apple, pear, peach and a little coconut. On the palate come creamy toffee, vanilla and tropical fruit with ginger and white pepper, and the finish is long, with sweet oak, honey and a dry, mildly spiced close.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
